NG1 is a futures contract that you will need to roll over monthly. You nee d to keep an eye out of backwardization and cantango. This is the biggest cost to a futures trader when you roll over a contract and can be very expensive. I think your best bet as a beginner is to explore ETF's and leave futures to the sharks
