Whats the problem?
Let anyone call themselves married.

Any number of people should be able to declare their 'marriage'to each other and call themselves married.

The state should just recognise people as individuals and get out of the marriage certification business.

Contracts for sharing property, etc should then just be civil contracts like partnership contracts.

Having public servants regulate relationships is un necessary.
