Well, because they trade taking like I politely suggested at $22 late June ... sell retail, buy wholesale one might say.
I tabled the last two Regal Sub notices for you below, and between Mar24 and Jul24 they sold a net 500k shares for $11.7M profit, which they then used towards buying 860k shares for $14.6M in the $17 placement plus 51k shares on-market for $16.26 at that day's lows I guess. In the wash-up they added 911,952 shares into the 18th Jul CR they guessed was coming as I did for the bargain price of $2.66 after rolling in their trading profit...

Whether or not buying at $17 in the CR was to gain genuine extra exposure for the long run, or to help create a market belief (that they may share?) $17 was a 'bargain floor now' because funds like Regal were adding more to an already oversized position, so retail and others would soak up selling from Lassonde sellers and help with an orderly distribution of early profit takers is an open question? They also seemed to be wrong footed with the depth of sellers moving on...

"2. why is niobium near the top of the critical mineral list of nearly every developed western nation?"... so are rare earths and that is a sheet commodity to be investing in despite all the wailing around criticality...
