In my opinion, incest did not take place in Genesis because the narrative is not to be taken literally.
There are very good reasons for avoiding incest at the level that would have been the case if Genesis were literally true.
While in Pakistan we saw the sad result of cousins marrying each other for generations.
A rudimentary knowledge of genetics will make the reasons obvious.
