If more people opt out then the lawyers represent less people therefore the settlement would be smaller. If they opt in or do nothing the lawyers will have more people participating hence bigger settlement and more money for them. The payout for participants will either be nothing or a few cents. These class actions are just a money spinner for lawyers. PS I can participate and opted out.
