I may be wrong, but my guess is that Harris is a temporary patsy until M.O. is anointed as the only possible threat to Trump, at the Dems talk fest in August.
Harris is a lame duck POTUS contender until then.
Obama and his lap dogs will be furiously contacting their donor base for financial support already! all imho.
Harris is effectively gone!
