I'm not really a punter as i lived for much of my life in Asia, far away from the ASX and not involved with any resources.
When I returned to Oz I got involved with a gold mining company a year or so ago.
Whilst doing investor relations research, coz that's what I do, I happened to come across a youtube video pushed out by Spartan's PR company, Read Corporate.
You couldn't help but feel the buzz coming from Simon Lawson as he spoke about the Spartan Project. He was filled with wonder and excitement, which impressed me.
Actually, it felt like one of those amazing stories that has made gold mining so incredible.
The share price at that time was 28 cents, so I bought 100k, as I truly believed the honesty this man was projecting.
I've never sold a single share and have watched Simon act with total integrity towards shareholders.
Over the past year or so he has led us on a fabulous journey, like Alice and Wonderland, as SPR put out release after release upping the company's resource.
Thank you Simon. And thank you to Sabine, Joel and others who have offered me incredible insight into SPR.
I'm going to Diggers next week and I hope to come up and shake Mr Lawson's hand.
