sure but the rising cost of electricity is multi-factorial. not simply down to renewable energy.
in fact renewable energy is produced more efficiently and at lower cost than coal or gas. they don't breakdown as frequently as coal or gas plants.
the cost of electricity has been slated as being due to coal and Gas costs pushing up the price. particularly gas.
