What's needed immediately in the Aus MC space is a bit of protectionism. Perhaps look at banning all MC imports for 5 years so the industry has some room to breathe and gain a foothold . Not sure if this might backfire with a quid pro quo reaction.. what % of Australian MC revenue are exports ?
In any case such a ban could easily be traded off by dropping the luxury car tax.. the Eu have been after this for years and with no local car industry anymore this is just govt price gouging .. the only ones who might get a bit upset are the Canadian MC growers
