I watched the webinar on YouTube and came away feeling very positive. There was only one thing that left a bad taste in my mouth and that was the waving off of the SP manipulation as essentially outside of SN's wheelhouse. While I agree with the premise that SN needs to focus on the accelerated gas program and that this will lead to SP appreciation, it is clearly not working. Even a positive quarterly followed by a positive webinar has led to yet further SP depreciation.
I think that SN (and maybe the Board) should be doing something to address the SP and in particular what I can only describe as external manipulation. Whether this be via the regulator, although its doubtful that they will be of any assistance, but to just wave it off as out of my control I think is a bit cheap. I do not know what levers or methodologies are available to them, so don't profess to have the answers, but surely they can do something?
