This kind of attitude is exactly why we have a serious political problem in this country which stems from elected governments giving the middle finger to their electors once they get into office. This only fuels public cynicism about their elected representatives and the whole political process. All parties are guilty but the Labor party is the stand-out miscreant. Obtaining government (Labor did not win the election - sorry Duicorp) without an absolute majority is commendable political manouvering for sure, but to wreck our economy in the hope of building a massive socialist state that we will all be dependent on is a gamble that the Labour party may not recover from when it meets its next day of reckoning at the polls. Dont forget that in the last 100 years Labor has spent 67 years in the political wilderness and the Whitlam government was severely punsihed at the polls for its economic stupidty. Fortunately history has a way of repeating itself.
