They had local originally. Supposedly Freeman Hills has a bigger reach in regards to investigative powers, so that is why they were brought in - at least that is how I have understood it. Also Freeman Hills works for either ASX or ASIC - I can't recall exactly which one it is - so it was thought that would give them more power in court proceedings.
In regards to Dykes, I think that would be a stretch in regards to using funds like that. I don't think any of the funds have been used in an illegal way as the old BOD looks like they did. It is more the trading patterns that have me very worried.
