I’m not denigrating but since I’m miles off playing any sort of sport I feel that it is misplaced. It really is the IOC that decided to tackle the issue despite being largely (though increasingly not so) compromised of men. They are the ones that deserve congratulations
for women in general we’d just like to see that lack of anxiety about women’s roles and equality being more widespread.
We’d also like to see that when we challenge something it’s not seen as denigrating but a legitimate and justified question.
you may not understand my question and there are many times that I challenge you and you take umbrage. But congratulations to women in general really doesn’t make sense and actually sounds patronising.
Take that as useful feedback as it is intended - to give you a perspective that may help you be as you see yourself. I understand you feel you support women but would you extend a general acknowledgement to all men for an achievement that is bestowed on a small group by grace of women ?
