just shared my opinion, which was based on the announcement dated 19/07/24 called 'li2co3 spot Sales contract executed with korean customer'. they said:

this led me to conclude that they didn't receive a premium price for this sale. on 26/07/24 they published their quarterly report which stated:

this represents without a doubt a premium price. based on the latest information, my statement regarding the price is incorrect and i hereby withdraw it. my intention was never to denigrate anyone. i never questioned the fact that agy produced at its operation battery grade carbonate. Ttey have proven this in dozens of announcements (which i have read and understood).

on 22/12/22 they produced battery grade lithium carbonate (99.76%) in their 2,000tpa facility for the first time in the commissioning work. they stated:
'the rincon onsite laboratory conducted the analysis works confirming the 99.76% Li2co3 from a 250kg sample of lithium carbonate product produced from the current commissioning work phase works'.

on 03/01/23 they stated: 'the plant commissioning works are 90% complete, have produced 1 tonne of battery quality product...'

on 01/02/23 they stated: '...including current commissioning works at 91% completion, during which the company has produced battery quality 99.76% lithium carbonate product (during single-run process works)...'

on 01/03/23 they stated: '...with the commencement of lithium carbonate batch production works, where 5.1 tonnes of battery quality product has currently been produced. the company is nearing completion of the commissioning phase works...'

on 03/04/23 they stated: 'current batch production trials during commissioning and ramp-up phase works have currently produced 10.2 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonate product, with average product quality of 99.79% achieved to date during the 2,000tpa operations.'

on 01/05/23 they stated: 'batch production trials during commissioning and ramp-up works have currently produced ~13.5 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonate product, with average product quality of 99.79% achieved to date during the 2,000tpa operations. the company has completed all chemical process and technology validation and verification works, successfully confirming capability to produce battery quality lithium carbonate product at commercial scale.'

on 01/06/23 they stated: 'the company has currently produced ~17.5 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonateproduct, achieving product quality up to 99.9% (and average product quality of 99.79%).'

on 31/07/23 they stated: 'the company continued progressing the 2,000tpa facility commissioning works, which have successfully completed 24-hour trials of continuous operations and produced ~20 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonate product to date, attaining an average product quality of 99.79% (and up to 99.9%).'

on 04/09/23 they stated: 'the company is progressing commissioning and ramp up works on the 2,000tpa lithium carbonate facility, targeting to achieve continuous production operations, and produced 10 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonate product during August.'

on 17/11/23 they stated: 'production output is currently limited due to downtime associated with equipment modifications and performance testing works, however, when operational, production operations are proceeding, with a total of ~48t of battery grade lithium carbonate produced to date.'

on 29/01/24 they stated: 'the company continued progressing operational works at the 2,000tpa lithium carbonate facility, which have successfully produced ~60 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonate product to date, targeting continuous production operations.'

on 19/02/24 they stated: 'the company continued progressing operational and testing works at the 2,000tpa lithium carbonate facility, which has successfully produced ~67 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonate product to date, on the path toward continuous production operations.'

on 19/04/24 they stated: 'the company continued progressing operational works at the 2,000tpa lithium carbonate facility, which has successtully produced ~81 tonnes of battery quality lithium carbonate product to date. the recent works represent the final parts of the critical path process to achieving continuous operations, leading into increasing production over coming months.'

on 15/05/24 they stated: 'over the 17 day period (to 13 may 2024), which included non-production downtime of ~3 days equivalent to install parts/equipment for additional improvement measures and cleaning of tanks and reactors, the plant produced ~9.7t of battery quality lithium carbonate product during that time.'

it shouldn't constitute an attack on agy or their sh. i indirectly asked two questions: 1) what are the opex/t? and 2) what is the relationship between battery grade and industrial grade? and don't tell me 'agy only produces battery grade'. this is technically impossible. if you look at the few disclosures from olaroz, you'll get an average of ~50/50 between battery grade and industrial grade. this is something that will not affect gln in stages one and two.

i respect the work that agy does and therefore i don't talk about their plant ramp up. i apologize if you felt personally attacked. don't judge me for something that isn't publicly disclosed.

gln reported on april 29th, 2024: 'pond 1 and 2 evaporation continues; approx 1,000t lce contained inventory.'
