Memories of the USSR and holodomor die hard. I recently connected with a Ukrainian here who comes from the Russian occupied territory and she feels the same way.

as for me
just because I feel for these friends and their extended families doesn’t mean I want to see the war escalate or violence to continue and you inappropriately conflate the two things
