Trump is a piece of shit but he understands the media. He's said things of this nature in the past. Imo he does it to turn the media's attention away from whatever is topical at that point in time. So, atm it's all about Kamala and the good vibes she's getting, and he's trying to shift attention away from her. I mean, he was nearly assassinated two weeks ago and it's hardly being talked about anymore...
