I acknowledge that Paul has authority but where does he say (or any verse which says) that Matthew has no authority when he quotes Jesus?
If Paul has authority then it doesn't mean that Matthew has no authority unless Paul specifically says so. Otherwise the obvious option is to give both Paul and Matthew equal authority since they they are both sharing what Jesus told them.
