wintermute: I read in metron's post "smart money piling in", which to me suggests "sophisticated investors" rather than current shareholders...
Also, do NOT forget that the new management of VPE might not follow the old pattern from before.
Personally, I do not believe that they would need any extra funds right now other than for doing something "special" like a take-over for instance (ITC comes to mind, obviously). They would have to do that before ITC's sp goes up too much. JIMHO, of course.
And, yes, an awful lot of companies are in the process of raising funds right now.
