I went to an engineers Australia conference yesterday where wwf presented their green iron strategy. A plan to bring green steel making to Australia. The were adamant about it being green.
POSCO were in the crowd. They are considering it but raised their concerns about the challenges and cost of green hydrogen. They expressed a desire for gas to achieve clean iron. They mentioned hyrex but not hazer. Sounds like government will be the deciding factor here, otherwise they are off to Oman.
