maybe so tarvie.... I doubt such a break up while leaving the CFMEU intact will make much difference.
imo the CFMEU has such an entrenched cultural problem that enabled the current leadership to be installed and remain intact. therefore the union itself needs to be abolished first and foremost. then the workers can form new unions in each sector and the ACTU oversee and manage the formation of new, smaller unions.
so I guess I actually agree with you; just the process that we might argue.
