    i agree the market is not booming.

    i dont see too many bargins atm, i also agree with that.

    REIV tell us what happens, they just choose not to put in the "vendor bid" and "no result".

    I cant see 40-50%, i think you will get 10-20% or back to 08 levels for a start.

    there is a blog called deliousnal or something which has homes that have had asking prices drop 40% or so, be these are not the norm.

    i know in my area the prices are off a good 10% already, homes which were going for 900+ are not getting stuck in the low to mid 8s, a sizeable drop.

    i have seen some B grade homes on the market for about 3months plus, the asking price drops by 5% and its still there.

    its horses for courses, like you say, but looking forward its not hard to see things slower further once rates get jacked up to about 9%.
