starting out?

Hey guys, just need some help in starting out. I have been looking a few shares here and there and studied them for sometime and most worked out great so I think im ready to get into it. But only problem is im 17, now I was thinking about putting the account under my parents name, however they are worried it may affect their tax and generally irritate them. So the question is, is there anyway in which I can trade through MY bank account and TFN etc? Without being questioned or banned from trading because im under 18? Im only 6 months away from being 18 but I would really like to get started now because of plans I have made later in the year for holidays etc so it would make it difficult to produce any resonable profits!
