Should the Govt takeover REX?, page-8

Rex has been stifled by Airport slots and Qantas/Virgin poaching Pilots.
Govt can do something about slots. Not much can be done about training pilots. Its been suggested ex adf go via Rex before they can apply to majors.
Did Rex bring it on because they wanted to fly the premium intercity routes or because it would subsidise their rural routes?
Arent Govt supposed to just let business be business and not interfere. Which means we dont give a toss about bankruptcies etc cause its just the market.
