for the area and the scale of mine this shouldn't be an overly lengthy or complicated approvals process (unless some curve balls come up during the studies or heritage engagements)

if they get they're stuff in gear and have made a start on relevant environmental studies (materials characterisation has been quoted in a few announcements, but no mention of other studies - although usually companies do these without announcing them) then could be approved in less than 12 months.

standard for a mine of this size and with out an
- mining proposal under the mining act (if less than 10ha can do a small mining proposal - even easier)
- 26d for bores and 5c for taking water under riwi act for water abstraction
- possibly clearing permit under the EPAct, unless planned disturbance is Less than 10ha per tenement per financial year and meets the requirements for exemption for a clearing permit
- Works approval under the EP Act (maybe as a pretty small mine - depends on required infrastructure, expected dewatering volumes, etc)

less knowledgeable on the heritage side, but possibly a section 18 of there are heritage considerations
