    GS,

the intent was not to compare the CAPEX requirements of the two projects, just mearly highlight that there is inherit risk in bringing mines to production coupled with systemic risk of economy turning in a flash. CMR should be a case study of what not to do but it happened and will happen again and their are valuable lessons learnt. Their issues were well ebyong the difficulties of extracting low grade mines it was more to do with management incompence (Hence can not emphasis the importance of a good management team with proven expereince)

yes CCC is different , they are already producing, the open cast mines will require much lower capex, where at post GFC rather than pre GST, insatiable appetite of China and Inida is continuing, feds are devaluing the US dollar which will artifically inflate commodity prices, we have an ex BHP director as our chairman, we picked up Mashala at a 10th of its value and i could go on and on.

I am extremly bullish on CCC however there is risk but that's why we will get rewarded for it if it all goes well. Also i do encourage posters to express risks they perceive about the company so taht we can have a balanced view and discuss them
