Did a google search for your rumour and only found a 12 month old article from David Morgan.
Endevour and First Majestic just released their quarterlies overnight. Silvercrest which I use to own and follow closely only down 5% and their one mine operation is in Mexico. AbraSilver which I own and is based in Argentina is also down 5%. A lot of silver stocks I follow in Nth America are down 5% and higher. I suspect the $1 fall in silver has not helped as well.
