We're all ignorant one way or another. I guess we could soften the blow of ignorance if we were all a bit kinder and more tolerant with each other. We force each other into corners so that our thinking becomes very polarised, black and white thinking in a grey world causes so many problems.

I think we should never take for granted that, I am right and you are wrong, especially when it comes to this esoteric stuff, religion, formation of a universe, life, you know the nonessential stuff, that nobody has a real answer for. But when it comes to religion, the followers of specific religions are the least tolerant, least prejudiced groups in society and they belong to systems that should lead them to being pillars of society.

You might also expect the religious to be the champions of science because science is the study of what they call God's Creation, so science basically works for religion, however it does not work for superstition and dogma and religion only complains about science when their errors of understanding get taken down by science, so they resist science only when it contradicts their belief culture, not reality.

As for 'saved' in a religious context, it surely means those that live good honest lives and work for the benefit of humankind basically enrich their own lives and I think this is what saved is.

And if there is a next world, a spiritual world, it will be like this in as much as we all end up in the same place like here and the different levels of enlightenment, for want of a better word, will engage with each. The ignorant will have a place also to engage with each other, no heaven, no hell.
