Unfortunately a lot of retail has been dumbed with the rest of society. There are some fine examples of good customer service in retail but far too many bad habits have crept in .
I worked in specialty retail for 20 years and while generally it wasn’t a well paid position , It was satisfying to find the right solution to fulfil a customer’s needs. I took a lot of pride in my work and I miss it, so much so I’m thinking of returning to it.
