The "cash at bank balance" shouldn't be looked at in isolation.

The difference between the Current Assets and Current Liabilities is the number to watch.

We will see those numbers this month.

The reports tells us "Despite further falls in sales volume, the Company remained operationally cash flow positive
during 2Q24, reflecting focused cost control and optimisation of prepayments for inventory."

Simply put they simply

* reduced the amount of cash they had invested in debtors and inventory and or
* increased the amount they owed to creditors


At the end of December Current assets ( A current asset is any resource a company could use, turn into cash, or sell within a year.) exceeded current liabilities ( Current liabilities are a company's short-term financial obligations that are due within one year ) by $57m.

Companies that are facing a severe cashflow crunch have current liabilities that exceed current assets.

VMT is in a very strong position.

N.B. Capital expenditure commitments (CapEx), are not included in Current liabilities.
