Thanks to this post I have broken down and opened my re tasking wallet for the first time.

Used this site but there are many more.
Existing images used - 3m resolution vs 10 for Sentinel.
Cloud blocks all optical coverage so re tasking on 1/8 may not have helped unless they got lucky and had a gap. Even so the shadows from the clouds can also be a problem.

Have no real idea of what I have ordered as the process is ongoing. In theory the $100+ I have spent will cover Emily-Luni-Green with 3m resolution imagery. Probably in a tiff format which I should be able to get into QGIS. Will post data if of any use.

Minimum order is 5 sq Km for $US12.50. Luni is around 6 sq Km which is roughly what the search area is below. The satellite base image is c2021 and shows no evidence of WA1 work which makes selecting the area a challenge. Multiple ways to do it which need learning skills/procedures.



Select time frame, area (rectangle/polygon/kml/coordinates..?other), filter (clouds etc), choose an image that covers the AOI (area of interest), set up account and pay
Top image only part of AOI covered so choose another one. Pay only for coverage in block.
The data available are only shown in low resolution at this stage.
Claim on income tax later? Wouldn't do it if not for investing purposes. Well for interest at this stage. May have to learn some more new skills. For those willing to delve into their wallets there is 1m, 50cm and for the super inclined I believe 30cm imagery. CIA...???

The original is 62Mb so zooming in gives a lot more detail than Sentinel. Don't know what resolution this is. Related to Satellogic.


Hope what I have purchased will be at least this easy to read.
