Good point.
You are right to challenge my use of the phrase "mug punter", if that phrase is defined as a person who consistently gambles more than they can afford.
I should have written the word 'unfortunate'. My feeling is that somebody is unfortunate who didn't make every effort to shuffle funds in order take up the new issue - and keep their existing holding.
Ironically, a mug punter might be somebody who hung on to their existing FAR shares and put new money into the new issue.
I don't think so, though.
Time will tell whether I am a mug punter, or not.
