    Hi Michael,

I don't doubt what you are saying. I know that China is quite myopic and corrupt.

In terms of corruption, I was working with a Chinese national (here in Australia) who was helping a friend of his (another Chinese national, both students on temp. visas) to filter corrupt funds out of China.

The friends father who was a local Chinese government politician was wiring over funds (obtained through bribes), to his son who then transferred them to his local account (in order so the funds could not be traced back to the father), with which they invested into the local property market. (and not small amounts ie. in the millions, as he said they actually had to carry the cash in garbage bags from one bank to the other)

Not a great thought, when the local population are further squeezed out of the property market by corrupt officials of a communist state.

Allowing international investment was another great idea by the Australian government !
