To be honest Liam is a puppet and can never really divulge anything new or give any extra insight etc. I emailed him some questions a week or so ago, i got answers to the questions, but it was basically along the lines of 'not much has changed' or 'i'm not privy to that information'.
Information needs to come from the guys on site. The lack of an announcement can be construed a number of ways. My point of view is the fact they are still operating is obviously a positive, the lack of an announcement is a negative (points to another failure to meet targets and/or the illusive supergene still isn't being hit.
Assuming they do hit the supergene soon, that will be a reasonable change to production so i'd say its a requirement for that to be announced. If no announcement is still out by mid dec then that could possibly signal alarm bells.
