If Australia doesn't pull it's finger out and start looking after the only 2 industry's it has left [mining & agriculture] which we are very good at and
very profitable we will become a banana republic.
The time has come for the governments state and federal to step up and provide some sort of protection and investment for what we have left.
The Aussie people want to invest their cash and supa $ and feel confident of a return instead of overseas entities being able to manipulate the market hiding behind OUR laws sucking us dry without adding to our economy or tax office. I did not include our banks or financial institutions as I don't know if they are any better than our friends [cough cough] overseas.
Get rid of shorting Number 1
Pay or at least have some minim quantity [more than1] for EACH trade
Top 20 holders easy to access and up dated regularly daily would be good
Get rid of asic put some good people like our TO on the job that under what business is all about and can get things done
Sorry I watched the 4 corners report this morning and it fired me up.
