The Church of Scientology have made the absurd claims that they are the fastest growing religion in the world, and that they gain 4.4 million new converts each year. Of course, this is demonstrably false. All you need to do to see this is to go into a Scientology org; they're all empty. Sometimes, you might see a few curious people in there, but it's generally just going to be a few staff. In fact, so few people come into Scientology churches, they don't even bother turning their air conditioning on.
