theres a good reason to avoid cities.... the poverty in many places is unavoidable.

here, sure there's poverty.... its always been so. but our poverty is far less onerous than the US, UK, many many other nations.

Robodebt was an utter disgrace. they shamed us globally and the perpetrators are getting off without any penalty. but that was a most UNAustralian act. this is undeniable. it isn't the norm for our general expectations of good government. and for our Aboriginal brothers and sisters we have a responsibility that is a tragic shame as well as, in some ways, a crime against humanity.

but we balance our policies against personal responsibility and expect those so damaged to pick themselves up. we send them to prison, not to teach them a lesson but to punish them. they leave prison full of hate and anger at being locked up. you can find the same repeated in many other countries including the above named.

it doesn't justify inhumane treatment, what explains it is a 1,000 page series research papers. but you mon ami damn us as the worst. we don't come up to your standards. shyte mate it doesn't come up to mine either but its the best around.

now how about you stop the whingeing about how bad we are and recognise we're pretty good.
