Yes indeed, it seems Mitsui being another major owner of Norwegian Hydro is investsing in Hydrogen where shipping will benefit. Looking at where Fortescue's hydro invetsments, while they are vast and spread, they are designed to facilitate world shipping and refueling. Maybe it's like Rockerfeller who developed the infrastructure of pipelines / petrol stations (?) for the motor vehicle?
Standard Oil Company:
Both FMG and Mitsui have Carbon intensive business', with their push for green hydrogen, it cleans up some of the mess, while protecting their current business' and potentially / hopefully generating new business', and assisting smaller niched companies and countries along the way.
- In 1870, Rockefeller founded the Standard Oil Company.
- Through aggressive business practices, strategic acquisitions, and vertical integration, Standard Oil controlled approximately 90 percent of U.S. refineries and pipelines by the early 1880s
