Resource stocks are inherently volatile.
The danger though of taking a trading mentality is missing the underlying longer-term trend, plenty of people sold too early on FMG, WHC and even LTR etc.
The longer-term thematic for coal is as good as it gets given supply-side challenges and strong long-term demand.
I still hold a couple of the major banks as I have done so for 20 years, but am not blind to the risks they face from fintechs.
