K
Way back I was playing in a quasi new age jazz group in Brisbane and we got a gig at the 7 hills art college as support to the Saints.
I think it was one of their first appearences, but word was out...the place was full.
Anyway we played our *kooooool* bracket(couple of disinterested claps)and retired to the back of the auditorium.
Saints played a few bars and the place erupted, kids dancing all over the place(no wall flowers here!).
I still remember saying to the bass player "thats the biggest load of crap I've ever heard".
The reason I remember is a few months later I was reading 'melody maker'(Brit mag) and The Saints album was in the top 10 in Britain.
