What the idiots at the LNP did not realise Scotty, is that by suppressing wages, especially in the care economy, they produced multiple problems :
a) Staff shortages in Childcare - as a result, women who wanted to work could not find child care places for their kids
b) Staff shortages in Aged Care - as a result, hospital beds were needlessly taken up due to shortages of places in aged care
c) Workplace casualisation - in both, casualisation was encouraged. As you mentioned above, this lead to huge problems with job security, but also helped to spread Covid.
And that's before we start to talk about nurses, or Labour Hire companies !
