If that was a father saying exactly the same words, making exactly the same comment, asking exactly the same questions and requesting something back - would you still call it a 'hissy-fit'?
That was really inappropriate.
She is a mother, and she knows that her son has a death sentence, she has every right to be pissed.
It's not just now and living with the DMD, she knows her pain is still to come, she knows that no matter what she WILL be watching her young son die.
And she knows that between now and then, his quality of life IS going to deteriorate, and that ultimately one day he is likely to die, because he just cannot breathe anymore, or his heart just loses any strength required to keep beating, and this mother knows that she cannot help her son.

At this point in time - she has every right to be feeling frustrated and has every right to call the company to account for some feedback.

But my main point here is - if that was a man speaking like that, would you still speak of the man (father) in the same way that you spoke about that mother?
