Yesterday you said that it was babysitting, today it is reading a book so we are getting there. I realise that you have no interest in the education of children, or their future.

I have visited child care centres. My wife used to work at one, and my grandchildren now go to one. Believe me "reading a book" , as you put it, is one of many, many tasks that are involved. I can (and do) read books to my grand children - I could not work at a child care centre. I am not qualified, and I do not have the skill set, despite being a parent. Child care centres need to attract more staff, and good ones - it starts with paying a decent wage, as they do in more progressive countries.

You are clearly not interested in the children that are Australia's future - you seem to be a somewhat selfish grumpy old man. I mean that in the nicest possible way.
