On from the post above, I've done some further dreaming (research) as to which goldie (GOR or DEG) I should hold in the event of any corporate activity.
I was surprised to find that for each company, over 50% of shares were held by the same 3 parties
DeGray Mining Gold Road 1 HSBC 44% 38% 2 JP Morgan 13% 12% 3 CityGroup 7% 11% 4 64% 51%
With the two likely predators being South African and Canadian, it would seem that any change of ownership would need to be very enticing to attract cooperation from these major shareholders who would be speaking with one voice for both DEG and GOR.
