They are one of the greatest joys of life.

Times have changed from 1 car, 1 income, stay at home mums.

So the offer of early educators for all parents, I do not begrudge 1 cent of my taxes being distributed towards the workers.

Just as I don't begrudge 1 cent of my taxes being used for teachers to educate our children.

That's why we have a great democratic country and the majority would endorse the use of our tax dollars as it assists the majority of people to maintain a reasonable standard of living.

Thinking that parents need to stay at home full time is nearly as archaic as the dinosaurs.

Parents still do plenty to parent their kids outside of childcare hours.

One of the greatest joys being able to bring up kids, even if it is with a little assistance.

For many it's a necessity.
