Don't know if you listen to podcasts but The Wall Street Journal has a podcast called The Journal, today they have a podcast on chocolate and they explain why chocolate is going up in price, there are new laws/regulations out of the EU which effect and increase the cost of African cocoa growers and thus they have to pass them on to you if you buy chocolate, i won't bother to explain it all but it's only a 15 min podcast.
It really highlights the damage regulations do to the pricing of products.
