Hello my esteemed and inexperienced friends.
On February 4, 2023 I said the following in this memorable post

Good afternoon lads.
At last count this thread is 133 pages long
At 50 posts per page and say an average of 100 words per post,
I make this 133 x 50 x 100 = 665,000 words in support of the XJO bear case
Considering that the market went on an historic rampage in the past 3 months, this must be the largest number of words ever used to get something totally wrong.
I cannot see this record broken for decades.

I am rarely wrong my friends, but I was wrong on this occasion.
I underestimated the generational talent of the posters to this thread to use the largest number of words to say nothing.
This thread is now 278 pages and 1.4 million words long.
In keeping with the Olympic spirit, it would be fair to say that this XJO bear thread has thrown down another personal best !

I could never have imagined that 1.4 million words could be written in support of the bear case at a time when, in this calendar year alone, the S&P 500 has recorded 41 all time highs.

I dare not make any more predictions as to how many words this thread will reach before this record of getting everything wrong ends.
