Ok.... what a bonus for WAF.
What an incredibly bold purchase at the time for WAF, doubling down on BF when most.... were selling assets left and right.
There are some interesting numbers provided in the announcement today, with the overall tone implying... more ounces earlier on, just like they were able to do with Sanbrado...
If we use some very very basic figures, and they produce 7mtpa (or... over 18 months, approx 10.5mt), at an average grade of 1.275g/t.
1.275 * 7mtpa = 8,933,333g / 31 = 288,172 ounces.
Expected recover of 90% = 259,354 per year.... or 389,000 over the first 18 months, at what I assume will be the lowest cost ounces of the entire project due the mineralization being at surface.
I cannot see how this will not cause a significant change in the mine plan.
Here's hoping they get a few more surprises and the production target for WAF firmly moves from the '400k p.a' upwards to a '500k pa' target.
