When I raise concerns about the potential impact of the contract with Acadia, I am shouted down by yours truly and others. Perhaps the words "bonkers" and "arrogance" are not used but plenty of other pejoratives were. I can accept critique on the basis that my interpretation is just "my opinion", I understand where people are coming in offering that critique, but I have a basis and background for arriving at that view, irrespective of the popularity.

I don't think you can sit here now and say that you should be able to express your opinion without being shouted down unless you are going to abide by that standard. For what its worth, I agree with your sentiment - you should be able to express your opinion and have it be explored on the merits without the reference to arrogance or any other unfavourable description.

I don't quite understand your statement that the "market doesn't seem to agree with either of us". I don't think you can conflate "the market" with a potential acquirer. Most takeovers come at a premium to share price, which you rightly acknowledge, so I don't understand the relevance of your reference to the current market price.

Apparently JP has said that the company will be valued on a DCF basis, which doesn't really involve consideration of the current SP - unless I am missing something.
