this is about future proofing western supply lines, rather than looking at the price of SC today, but availability of supply is more important in the future .
Why did PLS say in their rational for LRS, that they for one, wanted to diversify ? what did that mean ?outside of both AUS and their current off take arrangements ?, and secondly open themselves to the northern american and European markets ?
Because may i suggest perhaps they see risk associated with where their eggs are in their current basket.
Our future is just the first stage of raw materials in supplying markets outside of the china narrative.
Different players from battery material converters, to battery makers, to OEMs EVs / storage, all in the mix of seeking that independence.
