It is the abusers who harness the discontent and use extremism as the reaping hook ---

normal people - happy or unhappy with their lot - usually just stay put and try to make life the best they can -

it takes egotistical power abusers who want to funnel power towards themselves who harness the discontent and turn it to their benefit by presenting extremism as a way out of their misery and a channel for their anger

Wanna see one live ------- look at Trump. He's a good example.


The failure in society - which allows these kinds of people to rise to power -

is a lack of inclusiveness --------- where society leaves large groups of people behind - in a state of discontent ---------- ready to be harvested by horrors of history.
